We're looking for a proactive and driven Raw Materials Team Leader to take ownership of raw material planning and stock management within our fast-paced factory environment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead and motivate a team while ensuring maximum crop utilisation and minimal waste.

    What You'll Be Doing

As Raw Materials Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in ensuring raw materials are effectively managed, rotated, and utilised to meet customer and production requirements. You will:

    • Manage raw material stock availability and utilisation across the factory.
    • Lead and coordinate the daily activities of Stock Controllers and the Backyard Team.
    • Develop effective grading plans to maximise operational efficiency and grader capacity.
    • Monitor stock quality and proactively identify and escalate crop-related issues.
    • Review industrial bins and collaborate with line graders to reduce waste and improve crop usage.
    • Ensure all stock issued to production meets required quality checks and approvals.
    • Work closely with FLT drivers, production teams, graders, and managers to achieve optimal stock utilisation.
    • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to reduce waste and maximise returns through industrial re-sales where appropriate.
    • Maintain clear visibility and accurate tracking of all crop stock on site.

    What We're Looking For

    • Experience working within a factory, manufacturing, or food production environment.
    • Previous team leadership experience is advantageous but not essential.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to influence, engage, and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
    • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proactive problem-solving ability with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Confidence in making decisions and prioritising workload in a fast-moving environment.

    Why Join Us?

    • Opportunity to lead and develop a key operational team.
    • Be part of a business focused on efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
    • Varied and challenging role with genuine responsibility and impact.
    • Supportive working environment with opportunities for growth and development.

If you're passionate about operational excellence, reducing waste, and leading teams to success, we'd love to hear from you.
